TIMES Park gates open at 7:00 am.
Primary/Beginner: 9 am (Registration 8:15 am)
Novice/Intermediate: 11:30 am (Registration 10:45 am)
Premier: 2:00 pm (Registration: 1:15 pm)

Opening Ceremony Recreational Massed Fling (4-step) at 1:00pm. Please report to the front of the BIG ROCK Festival Tent at 12:45 pm. All dancers in any Highland Dance outfit are encouraged to participate at no charge. Please take part if you can, as this is part of our pageantry of the day, enjoyed very much by the spectators.

Dancers will be asked to show their ScotDance card at the gate to gain free entry.

ALL DANCE COMPETITORS MUST ENTER AT THE EAST GATE (5TH STREET)
The Dance Tent is located near the Stan Rogers Stage in the SE corner of Centennial Park.
Please bring your own lawn chairs. Dogs prohibited by local bylaw.

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

Our goal is to provide a safe, calm, inclusive and positive environment for all participants. We appreciate unexpected situations could arise on the day that may require action that is meant to protect our dancers, judges, volunteers and other participants.


This event is being held in compliance with all provincial health and safety orders, as well as facility requirements for Covid-19.

  1. Public Health requirements will be continuously evaluated, and participants will be informed of the Covid-19 protocols prior to the event through social media and email.
  2. In the absence of any Public Health Order mandates, the organizing committee for the Canmore Highland Games Dance Competition strongly encourage participants to:
  3. Wear a mask for your own protection and the protection of others (dancers continue to have a choice whether to wear a mask while competing)
  4. Maintain physical distancing wherever possible
  5. Frequent hand hygiene
  6. Stay home if you feel sick
  7. Upon registering for this event and immediately prior to the event, you agree to the requirements and recommendations of any National, Provincial and local Public health and other governmental authorities as well as any requirements from the Canmore Highland Games which may be in effect at the time of the event, as it pertains to the Covid-19 Coronavirus and to adopt all necessary measures to those effects.
